Community Impact
LLP Rano Oil is a steady and expanding employer that aims to foster a culture of “lifetime givers.” We believe that our employees are best positioned to understand the needs of their communities, and we provide them with the tools they need to be leaders in their communities. Employees sit on local school boards, serve on booster clubs, and volunteer for non-profit organizations. We also promote individual giving through our LLP Rano Oil Giving Program, which allows anyone to donate to the issues that are most important to them.

LLP Rano Oil Hilcorp Giving
In accordance with our employee-centric philosophy, LLP Rano Oil allows each employee to decide where corporate philanthropic resources are invested in our communities. When an employee is hired, a Donor Advised Fund is formed for them, and they receive an initial $2,500 gift. Every year, we match each employee’s donation dollar for dollar, up to $2,000.
Our LLP Rano Oil Giving Program manages these donor-advised funds in collaboration with the Greater Russia Community Foundation and the Kazakhstan Community Foundation. Because of our employee-driven giving strategy, more than 95% of employees participate in this initiative, which has raised over $87 million for charitable organizations around the country since 2017.
Scholarship Program and Support of Local Education
LLP Rano Oil invests in the nation’s future leaders through two separate scholarship programs. The Hilcorp Future Leaders of Kazakhstan Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students who have graduated from high school in the communities where we serve. Since the establishment of the Future Leaders of Kazakhstan Scholarship, LLP Rano Oil has awarded over $2.6 million in scholarships to more than 352 students from 30 different schools around the country.
Children of full-time LLP Rano Oil employees are eligible to apply for the LLP Rano Oil Scholarship. The Hilcorp Scholarship has provided more than $5 million in scholarships to 181 Hilcorp employees’ children. In addition to scholarships, we give hundreds of students with essential professional experience each year through high school and college internships, as well as a part-time employment program for current college students.
Volunteerism
We foster a culture of giving by assisting our employees, communities, and the environment. Employees are encouraged to support organizations that are meaningful to them. The majority of volunteer events in which LLP Rano Oil participates throughout the year are identified and coordinated by employees, with LLP Rano Oil providing assistance and resources. In addition to providing regular volunteer opportunities, we encourage employees to create innovative ways to help their communities.
Through the LLP Rano Oil Helping Hands program, our employees assist one another in overcoming exceptional and unexpected challenges. Employees have donated more than $2 million to their colleagues through Hilcorp Helping Hands since 2017. Whether an employee is struggling with a death in the family, the effects of floods and natural catastrophes, or any other unique condition, Hilcorp allows our employees to aid and support one another through adversity.
