Our Employees
Our business approach is centered on the self-motivated, innovative, and aligned employee. Employees understand that they are appreciated as complete members of the organization, all working toward common goals. Our employee-centric company approach is demonstrated by our excellent employee retention rate, consistent rating as a Top 100 Best Place to Work, and employee testimonials.
Empowering Employees
The key to a meaningful and successful career is an employee’s access to the information, tools, and authority required to achieve certain goals. LLP Rano Oil employees have a stake in the firm’s success thanks to the Buy-In Program, which allows them to build additional personal wealth that is directly related to corporate performance. Our Open Book Management philosophy gives employees with the knowledge they need to make decisions that will help us achieve our common goals. We value employees’ skills, perspectives, and innovation, and we encourage everyone to interact and share with their coworkers. The ability to assist in the development of people and culture accounts for one-quarter of each employee’s annual performance grade. That expectation is supported by an annual delivery of approximately 42,000 training hours.
Diversity & Inclusion
Every year, LLP Rano Oil participates in the Great Place to Work Institute’s Trust Index Survey to gather feedback from our employees on how we can improve, and we apply changes throughout the organization. For the past ten years, we have been named one of the top 100 best places to work in the country. LLP Rano Oil is an EEO and Affirmative Action employer. Race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or maternity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, handicap, military service or protected veteran status, and any other legally protected basis are never considered while making employment choices.
We value diversity and promote an inclusive atmosphere. It has always been Hilcorp’s policy to develop a culture that includes people from all walks of life, and we are committed to providing chances for everyone in our organization. Our dedication to treating people fairly is evident in the Trust Index Survey results, which show that 94% of our employees believe we do so regardless of background.
Safety
The well-being of our employees, contractors, and the local community is our first focus at LLP Rano Oil. We strive for incident-free operations and encourage our personnel to take responsibility for their own and others’ safety. In addition to regular Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), we have daily conversations to promote attention on the job and review job scope, daily duties, safety processes, and potential risks and hazards.
Training
Training is vital for developing our safety culture. In 2022, our field staff received more than 23,000 hours of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) training. However, learning isn’t limited to the classroom. Employees attend boot camps and mock live drills throughout the year, as well as monthly meetings to analyze accidents and near misses across the organization. Every occurrence is an opportunity to learn and better. Our contractors are held to the same high safety standards. Contractors participate in our daily and monthly safety meetings. We mandate that all contractors have an EH&S plan that addresses risks unique to the work they do. In addition, Hilcorp holds quarterly contractor safety workshops to train, evaluate safety metrics, and reinforce our objectives.
