Petroleum Refining

In recent years, the Company’s refining activities have been geared toward meeting market demand for high-quality petroleum products. Over the years, LLP Rano Oil has continually implemented a project to update its refineries, allowing it to extend its product variety, enhance product quality, and increase competitiveness. This is Kazakhstan’s most ambitious plan for modernizing oil refining capacity. Since the program’s launch at the end of 2016. The transition to 100% production of environmental class K5 motor fuels for Kazakhstan’s domestic market has been completed in compliance with the Technical Regulations of TR TS 013/2016. Since 2018, a number of the Company’s refineries have produced motor gasoline with better environmental and operational attributes known as AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5.

As part of the national purpose, LLP Rano Oil collaborated with prominent Kazakhstani academic institutions on research and development. The company is updating its catalytic cracking catalysts (IPPU SB RAS) with help from scientists at the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences’ Institute for Problems of Hydrocarbon Processing in Astana. The Akmolinskaya Institute of Catalysis is in charge of creating catalysts for hydroprocessing. Scientists in Almaty have already created catalysts for hydrotreating middle distillates, allowing them to produce a sulfur-free product that passes all Euro-5 standards.

Throughout the refinery’s industrial testing, these catalysts performed admirably. A vacuum gas oil hydrocracking catalyst is currently being studied in a laboratory environment. In recent years, the Company’s refining operations have been geared on meeting market demand for high-quality petroleum products. LLP Rano Oil gradually modernized its refineries, allowing it to diversify its product offers, improve the quality of its output, and gain competitiveness. This is the largest oil refinery restoration project in Kazakhstan’s oil industry history. This effort aims to shift Kazakhstan to 100 percent environmentally friendly K5 motor fuel generation.

After the modernization is completed, the company anticipates a synergistic effect from changing raw material composition and restructuring component flows across the corporation’s refineries. Adopting LLP Rano Oil methodology will give you more control over the execution of the investment program, as well as schedule optimization for refinery project implementation, efficiency management, and operating expense optimization. To realize this potential, a plan for executing the LLP Rano Oil integration synergy has been developed and approved. If this method is effectively executed, the oil refinery block’s efficiency will be greatly boosted. By the end of 2020, the refinery had processed 3 million tons of crude oil, confirming its dominance in Kazakhstan’s refining production.

Since 2020, the company’s refineries have produced AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5 motor gasoline with better operational and environmental qualities. The refinery produces aromatics, liquid paraffin, roofing and insulation materials, and other petroleum products that are both efficient and environmentally friendly. The refinery manufactures bitumens, jet fuel, roofing materials, diesel fuel, and jet fuel, all of which exceed stringent international quality standards. Every year, LLP Rano Oil updates its industrial facilities. To improve petroleum product quality, reduce operating costs, and ensure worker and environmental safety, the refinery is employing a tiered process flow diagram innovation strategy.
